Nantong University

Nantong Medical University was founded by Zhang Jian in 1912, and its predecessor was a private medical school in Nantong. It is one of the first medical schools in China. In 1927, it was transformed into Nantong Medical College, and in 1928 it was renamed Nantong University Medical College consisting of a combination of three agricultural, textile and medical schools. Nantong University is one of the universities offering the MBBS program approved by the Department of Education of the People's Republic of China.
